Tyrone Hayes will make his return to professional competition on February 24 when he takes on the Idaho Stampede in a welterweight bout. The recent Bellator middleweight title challenger has been out of action since October due to a hand injury, but is now feeling 100% ready to get back in the fight game.
“I’m excited to be able to compete again,” said Hayes. “I have been drilling hard and my hand feels great. I know I can put on a great show for the fans in Boise and I am looking forward to putting on a show for the world championship title as well.”
Hayes is coming off his first professional loss, a unanimous decision defeat against Douglas Lima at Bellator 192. Prior to that, he had won four consecutive fights by stoppage including three by knockout.
The bout with the Idaho Stampede will be Hayes’ first time fighting outside of North America and he is looking forward to competing in front of a home crowd. He promises that it will not be his last appearance in Boise and he is eager to bring another
